A Night with Family and Friends

Today was BEAUTIFUL in my neck of the woods. It is almost hard to enjoy pretty days when just 30 minutes away in Smithville, Mississippi, lives are still turned upside down from an F5 tornado. I woke up late and ALMOST went to find a job, but my lazy side got the best of me and I laid out in the sun for 3 hours (I'm a little lobstery).
Tonight, I had a fun family time. It's been a while since I have hung out with the family, so it was really great. We had a small grill out party and I saw some family members I haven't seen in a while. School does that to me, I'm so glad it is summer! Now I can actually hang out with the people that mean the most to me!
I saw this little cutie, Georgia Kate:

She is probably the cutest baby ever. My sweet little cousin, she reminds me so much a Who! :)
And of course, I had a wonderful night with my sweet boy.

Those nights are always fun! We just hung around and watched Auction TV shows...I am pretty much a boy when it comes to television shows! My new favorite is "Mounted in Alaska" on the History channel.
I'm going to turn in early to bed tonight! I'm going to church here at home tomorrow, the first time since December. I'm definitely going to miss Pinelake Starkville while I'm home!

Summer Time and the Living's Easy

Click the title to get a sweet treat! :)
Summer Time indeed, Ella.
It might be April, but it's the beginning of my summer. I've completed my sophomore year at Mississippi State. That is such a strange, but beautiful, thing to say! I am beyond excited about summer, mainly because I will be doing SO much in preparing to move to a house in the fall! I have DIY after DIY saved to my Favorites in Stumble Upon and Pinterest. My first one to do, you ask? I'll show ya :)

Lost it.

Hey there, I'm Jennifer and the "it" I'm referring to is my blogging virginity, unless we can count xanga from back in 7th grade. I, personally, do not. I do not really know where to begin, because Emily told me to do this...so, here you go Emily. :)
I have just finished my first semester as a college freshman...and OH MY how fast it went by. I am majoring in Music Education and I absolutely love it. You see, music is quite possibly the only thing that I am able to do well and the only thing that I happen to love. My whole life is based around music...it's quite sad. If I go a day without it, I don't know what to do.
I go to school at Mississippi State University, yes, the "farm school". Really, there's not too much farming going on down there, mainly engineering. I have always been a huge fan of State and the maroon and white runs through my veins. I must say, I'm a true bulldog.
The friends that I have mean everything in the world to me, although they may not be incredible in number, they are incredible people.
Another interesting fact about me...I speak my mind, more often than necessary too. I am also extremely sarcastic, it's said that I get that from my father...I'll have to agree.
I know on these types of things you're supposed to talk about your day and whatnot...but I'm pretty sure that my day was not very noteworthy. At least not this one. So, for my first blog I decided to write about who I am...I hope it was a worthy read.
